As many of you know, the Tivoli Cinemas in Westport which had been our home for the last twenty years closed just a few short weeks ago.

The passing of the Tivoli is a devastating loss not only for our festival, but for the entire Kansas City community. I am heartened, however, to report that thanks to our sponsors and allies we have secured a well-known and welcoming new home for this year's event.

The 20th Annual Kansas City LGBT Film Festival will open on Friday, June 21st at Unity Temple on the Plaza with the Midwest premiere of GAY CHORUS DEEP SOUTH co-presented by the Heartland Men's Chorus who will be performing live as part of the evening's festivities.

This special event kicks off a lively, five-day showcase at Unity Temple which will feature over fifty LGBTQ film premieres from filmmakers across the globe as well as right here here in Missouri and Kansas. Plus, there will be a special screening event to honor the 50th Anniversary of Stonewall.

We will be announcing our official schedule per usual in just a matter of days. Our website and social media will be updated accordingly and our ever-popular printed schedules will soon be ready for browsing and sharing.
